John has finally completed a full year of school. It has been a huge transition for him and I have definatley aged in the process! Today was graduation and he was so excited. He received an award for most improved in his organizational skills (I sure hope he carries that home with him). It was a tearful moment but I am very proud of him. He continues to excel in everything and has a creative mind… I feel for the teacher that gets him next year! Oh yeah, and John lost two more teeth this week..that makes 6 total!
Kameryn continues to try and keep up with John. She wants to go to school but I am just not ready for that! She loves all animals (just like her mom) and does a great job taking care of her cats, butterflies, and worms (yes..she likes to play with worms). Enjoy the pictures…I will post some of Kameryn SOON! ……………School Play and Graduation

It has been awhile since I posted. Life has been busy with work and trying to keep up with the kids. John is doing great in school and reads his lessons to me every day. It is so amazing to see how quickly he has picked up all that he has learned! John had his first part in a play this week “Joseph’s coat of many colors”. He was the king and did a fabulous job. I was so nervous for him BUT he loves to be on stage. A true calling for him. Kameryn continues to grow and loves to be our little helper. She was so excited this year on her birthday and had a small get together with our friends. She is into baby dolls and her cats. She can’t get enough of either one of them. Every day, she takes a nap with Luna (cat) and they snuggle up together. She also enjoys giving them lots of treats! I can’t believe how much they have both grown. Enjoy the pictures! ……………Kam’s B-day and John is a STAR

It has been a long few months, but I didnt forget to snap a few shots of the kids. We spent Thanksgving just hanging around. It didn’t seem right to have Turkey without Nana. It is amazing how time flies but she still pops in my mind every day. Every time I get sad for her, I look at my children. She is in them and has made her permanent mark on them forever. Kameryn continues to look for her in every grey haired women she sees. I keep asking her “Where is Nana” and she says “In my Heart”. Before Nana died, she talked of how proud she was that the children were attending church. I am sure she is really proud now because I finally make the move to become a “official” member of the Berryville Presbyterian Church. John is so proud to say that his mommy is a member of his Sunday School. John is doing really good in school and continues to learn more about God. He loves his school and always comes home singing. Kameryn still goes to preschool 3 days a week. She loves her friends but still loves Sanda’s (my mom) house more. She tells me that she goes there to get a break..LOL I hope you enjoy the pictures……..Halloween and Christmas!

A Tribute to “My Nana”

It is hard to say goodbye to someone that has been a part of your life since the beginning. Nana was truly a “grand” mother. I have learned so much from her and will keep it with me always. I have been very blessed that both of my children had a chance to be “touched” by Nana. In joke, we often find ourselves arguing about whose Nana is she? It became the ongoing “My Nana” argument. I guess in the end, she was everyone’s Nana. I have so many memories of her and feel it would be the best way to show the impact she has had on my life:

•	Although she complained about her big hands, she had the most gentle calming touch
•	Gentle patting with a “I love to pat that little bottom”
•	Blueberry muffins for breakfast
•	Swans Ice Cream just off the truck
•	Snapping Green Beans into an old tin bowl
•	Seeing how fast the car can go
•	Walking out to get the mail
•	Going to town to get groceries
•	Ham sandwiches and home made ice cream at Lucketts Fair
•	Never go ANYWHERE without lipstick
•	Are you hungry? Let me make you something to eat…
•	Go outside if you are going to fight
•	Spice or chocolate chip cookies for Kameryn and John
•	And constantly worrying about other people

I will always have things and people around me to remind me of Nana. She will forever be in our hearts and in our personalities. She is the strongest women I know and even showed that strength in the end. I hope that someday I can be that strong when I am taking the journey to heaven. Although we are sad now, I know that I will have another angel watching over me….. I hope that her mother. father, granddaddy, and dad are there to great her and remove all her fears. She will know no pain. She will only know love and peace. So to “My Nana… Thank you for placing a mark on my heart! Thank you for loving me. Thank you for helping in building who I am. I will love you forever and look forward to seeing you again.
